STUDIO/REMOTE SESSIONS
Remote recording is basically the process of producing high quality multi-track recordings and sending them to anywhere in the world. Remote drum recording is specifically designed for people who maybe don't have the budget, time or resources to produce high quality drum recordings on their own, but also want a session drummer to come up with a great sounding drum part for their song. By using an online session drummer you can get exactly that for an affordable price.
Each session is different. Producers and artists often want wildly different things from a drum performance, but they want things done quickly and without the big budget that traditionally provided for a dedicated engineer, equipment hire, and the studio time necessary for switching, tuning, and miking different setups.
My studio is based round an Apple iMac and UAD Apollo 8p interface with additional Focusrite preamps.
Microphones include Shure, Audio Technica, ElectroVoice, Sontronics and Aston
Drum kits from Pearl, Rogers, Yamaha and Gretsch
A huge snare selection from Ludwig, Brady, Craviotto, Slingerland amongst others and a massive range of Paiste cymbals.
I also have Roland V-Drums which I use with Toontrack's Superior Drummer 3 as well as a vast array of handheld percussion and effects.
